TIN CHAT

UP THE HATTERS!

Earlier this week we helped London Luton Airport (LLA) send an unmissable, high-altitude, high-impact message of support to Luton Town FC (LTFC) ahead of the team’s first ever Premier League match on Saturday.

Sitting between the airport’s flight path and LFTC’s training ground, we created a giant eco-friendly grass painting, featuring Midfielder Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu’s portrait alongside some friendly banter playing on the football club’s nickname the ‘Hatters’ and their epic story of the rise of the underdog: “Pundits, prepare to eat your hats. Luton Town FC has landed.”

Members of the local community came together with LTFC players and manager Rob Edwards to put finishing touches to the artwork, which is set to be viewed by thousands of passengers flying to/from the airport over the next week.

We organised photography and videography on the ground and used a drone to capture the immensity of the painting, which measured 55 by 45 metres – a size which certainly matches the sentiment of the town.
