To celebrate the Tesco Free Fruit & Veg for Schools programme reaching 1,000 schools, we teamed up with Tesco to bring school day nostalgia to life.
From TVs on wheels, cake and custard and the final Friday bell, our research revealed the primary school memories Brits would most like to relive, with 51% saying they’d even give up a day of work to return to the classroom
To bring the story to life, Tesco created a giant fruity pick ’n’ mix on London’s Southbank, with passersby picking nearly 20,000 pieces of fruit and veg for free.
The pop-up also toured five Tesco stores across the UK throughout September, while celebrating the programme’s milestone of almost 20 million free portions provided to children since 2024.
