With two-thirds of 8-12-year-olds feeling the pressure to fill their holidays with homework and being ‘productive’, we worked with LLA to encourage families to swap ‘summer maxxing’ for a ‘pagecation’.
In partnership with Luton-based author and illustrator Olaf Falafel and The National Literacy Trust, LLA produced 26 Minutes to Save Summer, an exclusive graphic novel packed with jokes, adventure, a robot snail and a villain determined to optimise all the fun out of the holidays.
Launched with pupils from Farley Junior Academy, more than 2,000 free copies will be available to families travelling through LLA from 27 July, helping children read, laugh and switch into holiday mode before take-off.
