TWO HEARTS PIZZERIA

 
 

THE HEAD SCRATCHER

As the country began to ease restrictions in March 2021, we wanted to keep Virgin Media front of mind and build deeper engagement and greater advocacy/ recommendation amongst consumers. 

 

THE IDEA

The Two Hearts Pizzeria – a world first dining experience using real-time 3D holographic technology to bring together diners from opposite ends of the country to share a pizza. 

Friends, family, colleagues, loved ones located 400 miles apart in London and Edinburgh reunited via two halves of the same restaurant using real-time, life-size holographic technology. 

Super smart yet emotionally driven, the pioneering tech used 3D holographic telepresence to replicate direct human interaction, meaning diners were able to see, hear and interact with their companion as if they were ‘actually there’  without the confines of a screen. 

And to warm the cockles, Tin Man and Oh My! delivered the Two Hearts Content Series. Eight films, each documenting the backstories and reactions of our pizzeria diners meeting their nearest and dearest through hologram technology. We had Edinburgh based parents connecting with two daughters who live and work in London and therefore hadn’t seen each other for a year, we had best friends from school who’d spent the hardest year of their lives apart and we had mates who barely go a day without seeing each other before Covid, reuniting for a much longed-for catch up, beer and pizza. 

 
 

 

THE RESULTS

  • 75 pieces of coverage, 100% of which were positive in sentiment (19 nationals)

  • Video content has been viewed a total of 1.2million times across platforms, accruing a reach of 6.5million and 23million impressions

  • 46% said it made them feel warm, 32% emotional and 31% joyous

  • 39% said they believe Virgin Media facilitates human connections – a 24% increase from before seeing campaign content (15%)

  • 48% agreed they’d recommend the brand as a broadband supplier having seen the content and 24% of non-customers said they’d switch to Virgin Media.
