We reunited Southampton native and world famous ‘7 Days’ singer Craig David with his home town in an exclusive, complimentary gig for residents and Virgin Media customers to celebrate the launch of the Gig1 broadband service in the city.

 

Craig’s established success perfectly mirrored our campaign objective of smashing through local awareness into national consciousness. And this integrated PR, experiential, influencer, digital, social and customer communications campaign created multiple news opportunities before and after the event, including a ‘pitch perfect’ photocall where life-long Southampton FC fan, Craig David, was put through his paces by the Premier League side’s players, ahead of his performance.

 

Hot off the press, results show the campaign has already generated a reach of 64 million – the majority of which is national, with highlights including a hero broadcast piece on ITV Meridian, Mailonline, Daily Star and Shortlist plus a reach of over 2 million socially. Happy days.
